Yue Li

Assistant Professor, Environmental Education

Yue joined the School of Forest, Fisheries, and Geomatics Sciences in 2025. Her research focuses on professional development for environmental educators, interventions to enhance learning and change behavior, and community-engaged learning to address environmental and sustainability challenges. She has taught environment and sustainability courses at Cornell University and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, providing high-quality and equitable learning opportunities for students, educators and other professionals from around the world.

  • Research Interests

    Yue is currently conducting research exploring nature-based environmental education, examining university students’ sense of place, accessing their transformative learning experiences, and integrating generative AI into STEM teaching and learning. She collaborates with scholars across disciplines and bridges quantitative and qualitative methods to conduct interdisciplinary research in both online and face-to-face settings, as well as in different cultural contexts.
