STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
Mission: To support the graduate students in the Program of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences. FAS-GSO accomplishes this goal by promoting interaction among graduate students and facilitating communication between students and faculty.
This organization acts as a voice for the graduate students at both the Department and University levels, and provides and promotes professional development. Mission: The International Society of Arboriculture Student Chapter at UFL promotes student interest and community involvement in Arboriculture and Urban Forestry through research, professional connections, teamwork, education, and physical application of theories.
We are students of the swamp who will work together to set an example for future generations with the University of Florida and the International Society of Arboriculture. We intend to stress worker safety, tree health, tree climbing techniques, ethical business practices, effective tree pruning, urban woody plant pathology, and international awareness on the importance of trees.

Mission: SAFE is the Student Section of the Association for Fire Ecology. SAFE aims to provide students with diverse backgrounds with an open forum on fire ecology through which research can be shared, networks formed, and funding and information resources can be accessed.

Dedicated to the purpose of maintaining and promoting the status of Geomatics / Surveying and Mapping as an ideal profession, the Geomatics Student Association (GSA) was organized to recognize the characteristics of an individual deemed to be fundamental to the successful pursuit of a career in Geomatics, and to aid in the development of those characteristics in the Geomatics student.
