I earned my undergraduate BA degree in 2000 with majors in Biology and Environmental Studies. None of the volunteer or paid work I’ve done since then has been in the field of environmental science, but rather I’ve worked with people who are marginalized from wider society in a variety of settings. I went back to graduate school and earned my Masters in Occupational Therapy degree in 2011. Since then, I have been working with children with special needs/disabilities in outpatient clinics and schools. My husband Ramzi Khuri and I decided to pursue greater academic knowledge about the environment–a shared love–and just started our first course at UF together for the summer 2021 semester. Here’s to opening a new chapter in this life and wonderment of what the future may hold!
