Dr. Paolo Triozzi is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the lab of Matias Kirst. Before joining the University of Florida, Paolo received a doctoral degree in the graduate program in Biotechnology and Genetic Resources of Plants at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain). He is currently working on the NitFix project. The main purpose of his research is to introduce nodulation capabilities in trees of the genus Populus, which includes the main short-rotation woody bioenergy species in the U.S.
