MS Student, Forest Resources & Conservation

Advisor: Michael Andreu

I graduated from the University of Florida in 1990 with MS and PhD degrees in Agricultural Operations Management. My 30 year career since then has taken me on a divergent path starting off as a computer programmer until more recently managing large software engineering teams building enterprise systems. Late last year, my wife Rachel Werenski (who has a background in Biology and Occupational Therapy) and I thought it would be challenging, rewarding, and most of all fun to pursue a degree together in a field of science we are most passionate about. We are thrilled to be back in school (taking it one course at a time) while continuing to work full time. We hope to one day use our newly acquired knowledge of forest systems and conservation to educate others and have a more positive impact on our wonderful planet!
