Concentration: Natural Resource Policy & Administration
Advisor: Damian Adams
I am a distance learning student in my first semester of the Natural Resource Policy and Administration masters program. I earned my B.S. in Forest Resource Conservation with a concentration in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences from UF in 2014. For the past five years I have been working as an associate scientist for an environmental consulting firm in Winter Park, FL. I really enjoy my job and the diversity in responsibilities that it provides, including wetland delineations, vegetation monitoring, water quality testing, threatened and endangered species surveys, gopher tortoise relocations, report writing, and mitigation analyses. I chose to pursue the Natural Resource Policy and Administration program in order to learn about the creation and implementation of environmental laws in the U.S. as well as the management of stakeholder demands. I am very excited to be here and am looking forward to being able to implement what I learn in this program into my career.
