Bourassa, Brandon

MS Student, Forest Resources & Conservation

Concentration: Ecological Restoration

Advisor: Basil Iannone

I am a distance graduate student living in Albuquerque, New Mexico and studying under the advisement of Dr. Basil Iannone of the Residential Landscape Ecology Lab. I hope to utilize my position as Outreach Coordinator for the New Mexico Herpetological Society to compliment a masters project on human/rattlesnake conflict. I graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BS in Geography, concentrating on GIS. I work as a keeper in the Herpetology Department at the Albuquerque BioPark, specializing in the husbandry of crocodilians and venomous reptiles. My wife and I also work as wildlife consultants for the film industry, most notably on the show Better Call Saul. I have always loved Florida, and I could not be more excited to be pursuing a degree at UF, even if I’m doing it in the desert!
