Forest & Farm Helper

We operate a family farm in northern Alachua County and seek one or two part-time employees. Tasks include forestry (pine plantation management), restoration (longleaf pine savanna), and agriculture (pecan grove). The work requires walking, lifting, and use of hand and power tools. In addition to routine labor chores, the job provides an opportunity to learn about machine operation and maintenance, safe application of herbicides, wildflower seed handling, and prescribed burning. The employee would have to provide their own transportation to and from the farm, located 5 miles from I-75 exit 404. Pay is $12.00 per hour. No prior experience is required.
